Lost
on purpose
and I’m not entirely sure what I’m looking for yet. I just know I want to spend my life creating, traveling, and connecting with people, so I built a life that could fit into a van, packed my cameras in with it, and hit the road to see what I might find.
Why?
Lost on Purpose is a road trip, a creative experiment, and a search for a life that feels meaningful all in one.
I’m traveling in search of people, places, traditions, and ways of life worth slowing down for. I use my passion for photography, filmmaking, and writing to better understand the world I witness and hopefully leave the people and places I encounter with something meaningful too. The van is how I move through the world. The camera is how I connect with it.
maybe I’m looking
for you?
Know someone I should meet, somewhere I should see, or something happening that deserves more attention? Point me in the right direction. You don’t need to be famous. It doesn’t have to be extraordinary.
Maybe you’re carrying on a tradition. Rebuilding after something changed you. Protecting a place you love. Making something by hand. Choosing an unconventional life. Or doing quiet work that rarely gets noticed. If there’s something about your life, work, community, or corner of the world that deserves a closer look, tell me about it here.
What I create.
Some stories can be told in a single photo, others need frames to move through, more room to breathe, and words to express them fully. Understanding what form best serves the story is important, and that’s why I specialize in these three.
Photo Essays
A collection of photos that tell the story of a person or a place without any words necessary. Generating emotion through the use of images and creative direction alone.
Documentary and lifestyle films
Some stories need more than a still frame. Film lets you hear someone’s voice, watch them work, and spend enough time in their world to understand what makes it worth documenting.
journalism & Blog Writing
Writing gives me room to follow the questions a camera can’t always answer. It’s where I make sense of the people I meet, the places I pass through, and the things I’m still thinking about after I leave.
START A PROJECT
Lost on Purpose is the work I’m building for myself, but photography and filmmaking are also how I make my living and plan to sustain my travels. I’m available for paid projects along the way. Portraits, events, everyday photo or video work, etc. If you have something in mind, tell me what you need and where you are.
